Great Business Ecosystem Will Lead to A Great Future: Scale Green Flores Lestari Market Day 2025
Labuan Bajo, 22 Maret 2025 - After 4 months of workshop and preparations, Scale Green Flores eventually reached its finals with the top 12 out of 36 sustainable business owners from across the East Nusa Tenggara Province. Held on March 22nd, 2025, this program has arranged a “Flores Lestari Market Day” as an opportunity for the finalists to present their business in front of the panelists and guests at Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai.
With an abundance of support from the United States Embassy through Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) program, we partnered with Kampus Tanpa Dinding to accompany around 36 business owners and develop their ability in sustaining a responsible business. We selected top 12 finalists to perform in a pitching session and give them an opportunity to participate in the market day. As a result, there are 5 winners and 2 appreciation awards for the best participants and their endless effort in this program.
Each participant was given three minutes to share their story and present the strengths of their business, which were directly assessed by a panel of judges: Aristyo Rahadian Wijaya from the Koalisi Ekonomi Membumi, Priska Elisabeth from ANGIN, Yohana Tamara Yunisa from Kalara Borneo, and Imelda Erlin Dugis, an MSMEs activist in Labuan Bajo.
Following the business pitching session, participants showcased their products directly to the invited guests and visitors during the Market Day session. In addition to the pitching session, each team was also evaluated based on their business proposal, product, and engagement throughout the program.
“Collaboration is key and you are already at the right ecosystem to grow.” said one of the panelists, Imelda Erlin Dugis. Through this program, the participants have gained knowledge through workshops with the mentors and network through market day event with the potential investors. This environment will help the business owners to grow and build larger opportunities ahead.
Ireneus from Delawa Coffee as the first winner of Scale Green Flores program shared his experience through his journey for about 5 months learning and developing his brand. “Me and the team have experienced good impacts for our brand through participating in this program. Starting from financial reporting to business branding workshops, we gained more confidence so that it helps our business in finding its identity.” Ireneus' experience has proved that a supportive environment has a good impact for the brand to face possible challenges in the future.
Other than Ireneus from Delawa Coffee, there are Kameku who achieved the second winner and favorite booth award, and Ikat Flores Creative as the third winner. Aroma Tani Vanili and Bracha Harvest have successfully achieved the fourth and fifth place.
Scale Green Flores has finally reached its finish line, but hopefully it will be just a beginning to another great journey for the East Nusa Tenggara business environment.
